Went clothes shopping today. Cried in the dressing room. Mom called me skinny then said “that won’t fit over your hips” 10 minutes later. I hate how much my body has changed recently even if it was for the “better”

maybe this is an experience I don’t understand well, I’m a 0 and I have had things that wouldn’t fit over my hips because they were the wrong size. is it hurtful to know something isn’t your size, or to be reminded of what your size is? like what part of “that won’t fit you” hurts

My biggest struggle right now is I was a size 16-18 and in the last year shrank to a 10. I’m still thic but none of my clothes fit so that trip was to figure out what size I am now. My biggest issue is that clothes hug my hips wrong, and make it look like I have a bulge like a man. And most dresses and skirts are too short, so my ass literally hangs out the bottom.
