As someone who had a pregnancy scare, and heavily considered an abortion if I was actually pregnant, I can tell you it sucks. Just thinking about having to go into a clinic to erase the pregnancy caused emotional pain. And if I were actually pregnant, I would’ve been 4 weeks when I tested. Having to remove any sort of growing thing my body was scary and sad to me. Nobody does this shit for fun. It really takes a mental toll on the people involved.
it becomes more and more apparent that y'all are genuinely too uneducated and ignorant to reason with, and that you'll simply need to be disenfranchised for the sake of humanity's wellbeing and progress human (noun) is not the same as human (adjective). my skin cells are human, not human beings. the cell cluster that is a fetus is human, not a human being. saying "a human (noun)" is no different than saying person, neither of which applies to a fetus
i also find it fascinating that you fixate on a process that's incredibly rare. what percentage of abortions happen this way? do you even know? probably not. do you know *why* they happen? because i promise you the overwhelming majority of pregnant people who have these late term abortions didn't want to remove it in the first place and even if it wasn't rare (which it is) i still wouldn't care. that fetus is destructive to the body of an actual fucking person! an actual human being!
I’ve answered questions about every stage abortions on this thread, not just late term. I’ve also answered your questions elsewhere on this thread but here’s the info again. 10% of abortions are later term, I said 80,000 a year but I just checked the new data and it’s now 110,000 humans being killed annually. Planned Parenthood is adamant they can happen for any reason. Abortion is m destructive to a pregnant person especially after 20 weeks when it is riskier for the mother than early delivery.
I said elsewhere on this thread that 3rd trimester is 1%, late term is 10% which includes 2nd & third. That’s still 10,000 and 110,000 people, it really doesn’t matter that it’s a small overall percentage. In fact it should make it easier for you to disavow them. I also never claimed PP is the only abortion provider, but that they are the largest. They at least are honest about why people get abortions.
Abortion providers have made statements that third trimester abortions are sought for any reason including elective. Abortion is a much more dangerous option for the mother in the third trimester than induced early delivery, which ends the pregnancy faster and more safely for the mother while not killing the human inside.
Dismembering a prematurely born baby is also “terminating a large cluster of cells.” Unaliving an adult is also “terminating a large cluster of cells.” You can reword things in an attempt to sugarcoat but in all of these cases you are intentionally ending a unique human life which meets the definition of killing.
when *you* say late term you're referring to a period that virtually no providers use. this is an intentional tactic fronted by the think tanks that manufactured the beliefs you hold to make it seem like an extreme number of abortions are happening when a fetus is nearly developed. the point? rejecting intellectually dishonest frameworks
trying to teach you that a fetus is not a person is simply my attempt at properly educating you. you do not know the meaning of the word genocide. let's learn: the intent to destroy, in part or in whole, a national, racial, ethnic, or religious group. fetuses are not people, and fetuses are certainly not a national group, racial group, ethnic group or religious group i find the misuse and weaponization of the term "genocide" by you anti-choice cretins to be genuinely disgusting and sickening
"prematurely born baby" is a misnomer. aborted fetuses are not prematurely born nor are they babies. it would be more accurate to say "dismembering a miscarriage", as "miscarriage" and "abortion" refer to the same bodily process. but then of course you would lose all your narrative "umph". i could also say the same: dismembering miscarriages is just terminating cell clusters. so what?
you can reword things in an attempt to create a emotionally charged narrative but at the end of the day abortion is simply terminating cell clusters. it's also a critical medical procedure that shouldn't be hindered or influenced by the political and religious ideologies of people who aren't getting the abortion and aren't carrying the fetus
Yep I meant exactly what I said, a preemie. A baby born outside the womb at 7 months. By your logic that baby is still a “cluster of cells.” Miscarriage (spontaneous abortion) is not the same medically or legally as induced abortion that we are discussing, quite obvious. You’re not “terminating” a miscarriage because there is no life present, so there is nothing to terminate. Let me know if you have more questions.
Totally agree, let’s just stick to science and the facts without emotion. All humans are cluster cells so it’s important to use our critical thinking skills here. A procedure that always kills at least 1 human if done successfully is not medically critical. Any injustice toward other humans is on the table for others to defend.
Totally agree, coerced abortion is horrible especially because it’s estimated 30%-90% of abortions per year are the result of coercion. If the reason abortion would have been scary and sad for OP is that it would have been coerced to have one, she definitely should not have had one.
Totally but in this case we are talking about human the noun because we are talking about a distinct human life. That comment was saying for example human hair or human nail clippings are not a human, noun. A fetus is a distinct human life and therefore is the noun, unlike body parts like the mother’s human hair, dead human skin cells etc.
this is not a chick. this is not a chicken. this is not a hen. this is a chicken egg. an egg is a stage of development of a chicken that is not a chicken. smashing an egg is not killing a chicken i admit this isn't the best comparison i could make, but i find mammal fetuses gross. so i'll just make another point...
if i mixed 100 pictures of mammal fetuses almost nobody could tell me what species they belong to even given they had pictures of those animals born... because those fetuses aren't the animals they will become. they are fetuses. a dolphin is a dolphin; baby, teen, adult or otherwise. a dolphin fetus is not a dolphin
you would be called ridiculous if you said that egg was a chicken, or that a zebra fetus is a zebra. i believe you should be called ridiculous for treating humans that way too. because it is. it is largely religiously motivated, scientifically and intellectually bankrupt, *nonsensical* moral outrage manufactured by billions of dollars in spending over decades to undermine a vulnerable population: people capable of pregnancy
We actually do realize the young animals present in fertilized eggs, which is why it’s illegal to damage the eggs of native birds, migratory species, etc. Both federal and international law protects sea turtle eggs. A fetus is a developmental term, every single adult once was one. I totally agree we can just stick to science and facts, not sure why you brought religion up. The most vulnerable population is the one who can’t speak for themselves, in this case our youngest humans
Yes, baby, teen, adult or otherwise: “or otherwise” would cover any other phase of development, including fetus. It would be very silly if you tried to argue “that’s not a dolphin, it’s a baby!” Or “that’s not a human, it’s a toddler!” Stage of development does not change the fact that there is a unique human life present
i said most couldn't identify mammal fetuses. i *never* said people couldn't identify eggs, because eggs are pretty identifiable. this is a strawman. additionally i never said "at a distance" because most couldn't identify most living things a mile out with the naked eye regardless. another straw man once again, even given pictures of the 100 born mammals, most people couldn't identify which fetuses would become those animals
"otherwise" covers all other nomenclature for born animals, including humans; not fetuses. i would never argue that a baby dolphin isn't a dolphin because a born animal is the animal, which i clearly stated. again, a strawman and a horrible failure to comprehend basic english. i would, however, argue that the dolphin fetus is not a dolphin... because it isn't 😂
It’s the same argument though. “I would never argue that a human infant is a human! It isn’t a human! It’s an infant!” You’re going to need to explain why exactly you think there’s a difference and what specifically makes a fetus “not a human”. Happy to address whatever you come up with.
Idk if you know what a straw man argument is? You’re saying someone’s ability to correctly identity a human as a human vs. other animals somehow makes them less human. I’m providing other examples with the same logic to show it doesn’t hold up. Your inability to distinguish a human fetus by looking at it doesn’t determine his/her value. Plenty of people can’t identify species by looking at an egg. Silly regardless because you know how you know a fetus is human? ..It’s inside a pregnant human
