as someone who can’t imagine talking about everything wrong with me to my best friend let alone a stranger, how do y’all go to therapy? i wanna attempt it but i would feel so awkward and judged

idk u just face it.. it’s their job to listen. they’re not gonna judge unless u talk about plans to harm urself or someone else, in that case it becomes a legal matter

therapy doesn’t have to be talking about your darkest feelings. i was in therapy for like two years before i told my therapist about some of the most impactful things of my life. sometimes our sessions just talked about my week, others it was talking about surface level feelings. you have to push yourself to do it, it’ll be awkward and uncomfortable for the first session or two. but its worth it
