I don’t even have pets but it irks me that there are so few 24/7 veterinary offices. Taxes go to helipads and ballrooms at the White House instead of where they could be used. Imagine an ER having to close down. Don’t die on a weekend, I guess. Ugh!

I feel like every vet should have a 24/7 crew. Theres already not enough vet offices already let alone a 24/7

Definitely. I had to put down my dog last year in the middle of the night when he was struggling to breathe. He had congestive heart failure and had occasional episodes that would pass after several hours, but that episode was on another level and it was only getting worse. Luckily I live near a 24/7 emergency vet, but what if I didn’t? I would’ve just had to watch helpless as my sweet baby struggled to breathe for hours and hours? Anyways, I miss my buddy :(

Was just thinking about this last week when my cat started throwing up after her breakfast. Luckily she was fine, but before I left the emergency vet I was told they close at 10. Like okay, so what if she has another episode at 10:05?? I just watch her suffer??

Mind you, I live in a bigger city so it’s not like there’s a shortage of other vet clinics around. I wouldn’t expect 24/7 where I grew up in the boonies but having zero in a city is shameful
