We should try to reclaim the flag at protests though, we're the real patriots, they're taking away freedoms

Noooo, we never want to be American patriots. It’s a settler identity. We need landback and revolution to dismantle the most deadly country on earth

Wanting the people of the world to stop being exploited and killed is wild? You sound like a republican “if you don’t like America then leave”. Why would I abandon my community vs fight for it? How is working towards a better world for all far fetched? What else would we do? Domestic terrorists??? What 😭

you said you want america to be dismantled which is what terrorists want. like america IS your community how are you gonna say “f america” but you also love your community? that is so contradictory ??? being a patriot means loving your community and country whether you fw the government or not. we the people are what makes up america. you just made a very anti american statement and i am now realizing how they’re labeling the far left as domestic terrorists based on your comments.

I mean yeah if you follow the rules of settler colonial states ofc they would call dismantling a harmful colonial and capitalist system and government terrorism 😭 America’s not my community. The people around me are. As well as the broader working class of the world. What’s contradictory about wanting better for my community 🤨 Ofc I made an anti American statement, I hate America if that wasn’t already clear

you live in america. you reap the benefits of living in america. roads, schools, safety, accessible water and food, social security, welfare, etc. it’s very out of reality to think of yourself as separate from the rest of the american people because you don’t personally know them. america is made of up communities just like yours. you’re telling me you’d like to dismantle the government that protects and manages these people. what would we do? just all be farmers again? be for real. privilege.

Yeah the benefits that I shouldn’t have bc they come at the expense of the global south. I don’t just care about Americans. I care about the global working class. Definitely never said I feel separate, I very much feel connected to my community and the working class. I just don’t identity with settler identities regardless of the undue privileges it gives me. And the government doesn’t protect us, that’s the whole point. That’s why I want to dismantle it

How is it racist when the US was founded on genocide of Natives and slavery of Africans

what are you even talking about genuinely? so quick to jump on someone who is questioning your ideology. we can’t change the past, but we can moving forward work to make this country more equal and fair for everyone.

americans ARE the working class???? if you want to change the world go ahead but like america gives humanitarian aid to so many places it’s not pure evil. if you don’t think this country is safe because of how it’s run try going to a third world country. all i’m saying is you know who else wants to dismantle america ??? terrorists. and then you’re mad you’re getting labeled a domestic terrorist by the government. you can’t say you want to help your community and dismantle it. contradictory.

I don't think that's an awful take but hating what the American flag stands for is not racist

if you don’t want the benefits then go somewhere you don’t have them. but you wouldn’t do that because you enjoy the privileges like the rest of them you just want to feel righteous about it like my god. if you want to help, go help!! there are so many aid programs you can take part in and make a real difference in the rest of the world.

Anonymous replying to -> #1 2d

i think the american flag stands for america, america is made up of us the people, and personally i love how hard americans are trying to make the world a better place. we have so much influence in the world, and so many of us want to use it for good. i don’t understand how not hating the American people makes me racist.

it’s unfortunate how we became a superpower at others demise, but we have the power to do good in the world now, and i love how many of us want to make the world a better place. especially with the younger generation and caring so much about the environment that our ancestors have quickly been destroying. i don’t think that makes me a bigot personally. but because i see things slightly different im just so evil lol

nah i don’t, but what we are is the most influential country in the world. i’m personally a first generation american (yes my family is from the uk so whatever! i’m very privileged too!!) we aren’t the greatest country, we have many many issues, but i think one thing that is great about americans is we have a lot of fight in us. we care, and we try. we undoubtedly have a massive amount of power in global politics. internally there are many issues, but we have the power to do good if we choose.

I've honestly never learned much about canadian or australian history but if I was from either country, yeah it'd probably be similar. And australia treats animals somehow even worse than the US in factory farms
