i agree with the point. a lot of people really like to revel in either imagine carrying out “righteous violence” or watching it happen because it’s a lot easy and gives you some catharsis. instead of doing the difficult, boring, unglamorous, and intensive work of actually addressing the issue at hand and preventing harm from happening in the first place. it’s a lot easier to fantasize about killing pedophiles than it is to create a world where children aren’t treated as property
