My parents won’t straight up tell me that but it has to be that lol. It has to be because im a girl that i’m supposed to be okay with more responsibility and higher expectations. My brothers can’t even cook adequate meals for themselves. My older brother hasn’t done pretty much anything since graduating, and my younger brother is failing all of his classes in highschool. Meanwhile i’m in college with straight A’s volunteering for multiple organizations, the hospital, and working….

And the worst part about it is god forbid you sleep in one day or have a boyfriend, cause then all of a sudden you’re lazy and insecure

Oh my gosh the have a boyfriend thing. I’ve literally been told probably since i was like 5 to not date till i’m 18 and i can’t bring them home easily cause two brothers an a dad. Meanwhile my mom thought it was funny my younger brother had a gf in like 3rd grade. Now i never tell them when I’m interested in a guy because i tried in highschool and it was just a hard no🤗🤗🤗

I feel that. My parents allow me to date but unless the dude is absolutely perfect they don’t approve. Like my current boyfriend is perfect for me, he listens to everything i say, does stuff when i ask him to, and buys me gifts and pays for dinner every time. But for some reason sense my boyfriend does everything i want I’m abusive, and in my head I’m just like: “i thought you said for me to get a boyfriend that does everything i want him to” like what-
