l've personally driven old and brand new Subarus, they just really don't compete with what's out in the market right now. If you just want something outdated and just pure BASIC. Then sure go with Subaru, but there are a good chunk of other options for off-road vehicles. The touch screen system is just slow and outdated feels like something you would get in a 2013 Chevy/Ford. The camera quality, is god awful for paying above $26k for a new car.

The maintenance repairs are just as expensive or even more expensive as getting a luxury car (bmw, Mercedes, Audi, Range Rover) just not worth the money, especially if your trying to get something off road capable. Personally suggest getting a ford bronco/bronco sport, or any jeep (not just the wrangler), Toyota offers off road capable vehicles,Hondas as well. Chevy has some off road vehicle models as well.

Just a better bang for your buck instead of going with "my mom/ sister/family friend has owned Subarus all their lives and they say they are good". I hear that way too often but they never tell you how much the repair bills are. Or why they just got a different Subaru after it costed over 5 grand to fix their first Subaru. Cars are expensive but Subarus are EXPENSIVE! Especially if you don't have a lot of savings or just not blessed with a lot of money from family or other sources of income.

Yess!! They are SO SLOW like the slowest vehicles on earth the amount of times I almost gotten rear ended even when I had my foot fully to the floor is ridiculous. The CVT transmissions are horrible. My friend had to replace their engine 3 times since it kept blowing up on them on the highway just cruising.

They used to be good for the older early 2000 vehicles but now they are just doing a money grab and giving the worst quality vehicles out there. I’ve been telling all my friends to drive every other brand before they just decide on a Subaru.

Nissan is a little bit better but still super cheap on literally everything in the car unless you spend 45k or more on the top trim😂. You can get a base bmw or Mercedes with more features and options for way less than buying a Subaru or Nissan

Don’t even get me started on people who buy Kias😭. My uncle just replaced his 2021 tellurides engine for 2nd time and then his transmission for the 3rd time. 😂 HORRIBLE VEHICLES.

Okay first why are you getting a crosstrek? Like what about the car that you like? ( size, space, gas mileage, looks) I can give you better alternatives after you give that info.
