at my campus apt i used the ones that were held up by adhesives, just check the weight rating and stuff. i even managed to hang up my snowboard so it wouldn't clutter the floor + nice way to display it

you didn’t have any problems with paint chipping and all? honestly yeah my walls are bare just bc i had a issue of this before at a previous apt

no, i used the 3M ones where you remove it by pulling down slowly/firmly (just make sure you do it properly when removing, one of my roommates tried to just pry it off and damaged her walls that way) and personally didn't have an issue but you could test just one and try removing it, spackle is like $5
