Should I go to the dentist if one of my wisdom teeth is growing in to see if it needs to come out? Neither of my sisters ever had the procedure

Coming from someone who does not have dental insurance and can’t get mine out even tho they’re painful and make my whole mouth swell at times, yes. Get them removed while you can.

You should go to the dentist regularly, but yes you should definitely get them checked out just to make sure there’s nothing wrong. Even if there aren’t any issues right now they might still advise you to have them removed if they think it could become an issue in the future, that’s what I’ll be doing later on

Get them removed asap. Mine never gave me trouble at all, but I did an x-ray and they were so lopsided, they were pushing my molars forward. Also as it turns out, the longer you wait, the more the root of wisdom teeth can grow, which can touch a nerve in your jaw that is painful. Basically if I had waited longer, my wisdom teeth would have begun touching nerves, made it easier to get cavities from how tight they were against my molars, and made recovery more difficult

It really does 😭 I got kicked off my moms at 20 randomly and the navigation around getting your own insurance is TERRIBLE. They are really picky about what they will and won’t cover and it’s gonna be a while before I can get a full time job that’ll hopefully give me better insurance. All in all, utilize what you can in your 20s!!!
