easiest is to honestly go to a curl specialist if you can afford it and have them walk you through how to take care of ur hair. otherwise look for videos of ppl w hair that looks similar and same porosity. also stop brushing your hair dry, it damages wavy hair. i use a brush meant for wet brushing and brush out my hair with conditioner. there will be a lot of experimentation as you figure out your hair type and what works best for you as people's hair react to different products
I’d say to just try one curl product and see what happens. We all have different hair thickness and porosity. I have thick 2c/3a type hair. I use Aussie detangler to wet my hair and Aussie leave-in curl moisturizer to rake through and lock in the curls. It’s a low maintenance routine that gives softer waves/curls on me. I’ve tried foam/mousse, gel, and heavier products that just don’t work for me but look great on others. It’s all a process of learning what your hair likes and needs
if you do make sure there's leave-in or something but generally i just do it in the shower after putting in conditioner otherwise your hair will tangle. curl specialists are pretty pricey but imo it was really helpful for me since i was pretty overwhelmed with info online and she taught me what i needed so i could do more research confidently so TO ME it was worth the money
