Am i a leftist if i don’t necessarily believe capitalism should be abolished? I don’t think there is any one right answer to the American economy and the best solution would be a mix of socialism and capitalism with maybe some aspects of communism ect

the main difference between a liberal and a leftist is that liberals believe capitalism can be modified in some way to be more equitable whereas leftists believe we need to get rid of capitalism entirely. you’re a liberal

I think this is still mostly in line with general liberal beliefs tbh 😭 I think what we mostly oppose is just a hyper capitalist society where only 1% of the population basically just gets to recklessly screw with everybody else

I’m definitely in agreement with that like if I had to pick a perfect system it’d be a mix. How specifically ? I dont know never thought that far but I agree. I’m also in the middle and do believe in free health care btw lmao. Capitalism sucks but I truly feel if we can get some typa hybrid system maybe we could make the country better

This says nothing about economic beliefs. I’m simply asking for a single source for your definition, that should be something you can easily provide. Or go to the Wikipedia and highlight the part with your definition I don’t care. I simply want you to cite your source. It’s not arguing it’s asking you to back up your opinion sis

pull up the “social liberalism” or “left wing politics” wikipedia pages and head to the sources. this is a generally respected distinction in the academic field and in activist spaces. there are thousands of academic articles that accept this conception of the political spectrum. your turn
