a woman in the west being “oppressed” compared to a woman in say Afghanistan is not the same story. majority of white women voted for trump. I think it’s a common sense statement to say women as a whole are oppressed does not change or relieve responsibility when it comes to intersections in society and how that effects the severity of “oppression.”
