“I know what I’m doing! I’m an adult” I was 18 and a dumbass 💔 like I promise to anyone reading this who hasn’t broken free, you WILL understand when you’re older. Grooming forces you to think everyone else is wrong and wants the worst for you by going against that. And yes, you CAN be groomed as an adult. It’s about power dynamics.

Exactly. Now I’m with a man who’s hardly a year older than me (obviously that’s not necessary as long as it’s close enough), and it’s nice being on the same exact life stage as someone. I don’t feel like I’m dragging him behind because he’s so far ahead in life, or that I need to rush. We’re experiencing everything about growing up together. And besides, I kind of prefer figuring it out instead of having an older adult lecture me. It helps us grow and connect.

yes omg i prefer that way too. Learning and supporting each other as you both grow is the best especially when you’re both still so young it’s actually so adorable instead of having miserable old man tearing you down
