I feel like there’s a lot of shame towards women wanting to experience romantic love these days. Is it just me?

Like I get the fact that you need to be your own person, have your own life, not depend on a man, and DEFINITELY not accept unfair treatment from a partner. But I feel like so often people get shamed for just expressing feelings for someone, or expressing that they want a relationship. It’s normal to crave intimacy. And you can have intimacy while also being independent and setting boundaries.

i think it’s bc women are finally talking about how unfair relationships are in terms of the emotional and domestic labor women have to do compared to men

And it’s not even always like blatant shaming so idk if that’s the right word. But maybe more dismissive ness. Like someone talking about wanting love and being met with “just focus on yourself” or “you don’t need a man”. Like I know that, and I can focus on myself while also acknowledging that I would like to have a romantic relationship.
