I recently began watching the show and am so thankful I’m not the only one who feels this way. It pisses me off so bad that, canonically, shitting on Meg is the only thing keeping the family together. Atp I’m only watching for the Stewie/Brian plots

i love family guy but i totally agree and i’ve heard people say they just had no idea how to write a teenage girl so they just made her a loser who gets treated like shit. but on the other hand being a girl literally feels like being meg so much of the time so idk

I think the idea is that Meg’s original voice actor resigned super unexpectedly and unprofessionally and that’s where the joke came from 😭 the writers decided to just constantly bully Meg after that
