i don’t have anything for you (i teach hs) BUT just wanna say tysm for being an educator !!! tutors are so important. if you’re able to, you should tell parents to read with their kids. i’ve heard from k-5 teachers that reading at home is a major influence for their literary skills

Im either gonna go into elementary education or middle/high school bio teaching! As for the parents I’m guessing they work a lot so don’t have time and I would even go as far as to say given the area I am in they may also have been failed by literacy education.
