I just meant that everyone can watch the news and see it, and everyone is allowed an opinion it’s just annoying that everyone feels the need to post their opinion and “start and argument” (not saying they are trying to)

i think it’s important for all of us to engage with each other about it, whether some like it or not. someone from oregon isn’t going to get the same news as someone from texas. we’re all spread out and hearing similar, yet different things. there are a bunch of different perspectives and so many opportunities to educate one another

anyways here are some rights being taken away or at risk - due process - healthcare (e.g. women unable to get objectively medically necessary abortions) - assembly/peaceful protest - free speech in general - self-expression/identity (e.g. trans people being targeted)

thats why i said i dont personally care if people talk about politics unless its something ridiculous like how people were acting when kimmel got taken off air. even if jimmy kimmel lost his job permanently, that still wouldnt be a breach of human rights

the point is that kimmel is the canary in the coal mine. he was removed from the air because of pressure from the trump administration, not because of some business decision. if the government can get you fired from your job because you made a comment they disagree with, your free speech is at risk.
