This might not be the right channel for this but by god we need a teacher strike, parents and children alone take the education system for granted in modern political and social contexts and I think if teachers finally had a strike it could show the world

I’m saying this as someone who doesn’t have kids yet, but I feel like parents have just decided to let teachers parent their children for them which isn’t their job. So parents aren’t parenting their kids, and the teachers suffer because of it

I feel like when people talk about teachers not needing higher pay/ better benefits supply and demand as well and that if people keep making teaching as unappealing as possible to a point they strike that a good chunk of the US would have a childcare/employment crisis

There are a couple reasons I did not go into teaching even tho I still can but I do not wanna deal with kids today lol money is not a huge issue for me personally but I know that it’s not the best job support. Especially with the prices of everything…
