My tinfoil hat take of the day is that celebrity gossip/pop culture/snark pages are another way to get young people (specifically woman and gay men) to fall down the alt-right pipeline.

1. these are breeding grounds of misery framed as a “place to be critical” but the critiques in question are just constant picking apart people that they deem less then perfect 2. these pages disproportionately target women, and the few times the hate is aimed at a man he’s either non-white and/or queer 3. constantly pick apart at the appearance, body, personality, and it snowballs into spouting rhetoric associated with purity culture, eugenics, “race science”, anti-LGBTQ sentiments, etc.
