but since you asked, for my own opinion, the beginning portion walking through the field represents where a LOT of our food comes from and who gets it for us, and then each clip of a different activity or culture-related thing is heavily represented by people of color that we have in the mainland because of them (nail salons, dancing, food, etc). that was the main thing! i didn’t understand much else, but that was def a very good part and i think his show left a lot of room for interpretation

Also the wedding part and everyone dancing and the inter generational party vibe was so lovely and symbolic of the tight knit family and community! And I was told by a friend the little boy he wakes up on the couch is like such a Hispanic thing there’s always a kid snoozing at a family function
