The difference is that Charlie is actually getting justice through the legal system, and George Floyd was murdered BY our legal system. These memorials for Charlie are promoting Charlie’s ideals, where as the memorials for Floyd are to remind us of active abuse and injustices in our country. Those are very different things.
George Floyd murals aren’t telling anyone “have kids” or anything. The only calls to action that could be in George Floyd murals would be to try to prevent future and current injustices and violence against people. It’s not glorifying Floyd or saying to be like him or do what he did, it’s to remind us that no one in this country should be abused like that by our own government, even drug addicts or criminals.
genuine question, how can you look at those 2 situations and compare them? Charlie kirk was shot for spewing his knowingly very controversial opinions. and George floyd was viciously suffocated to death by COPS, the people that should be “protecting us”. i don’t think anyone should be killed, but you also have to acknowledge that these are 2 very different situations.
