May we add herpes to the list too. What people don’t realize is that most people have herpes. There’s multiple types but the main ones are hsv-1 and hsv-2. Most people have hsv-1 and you can literally get it from sharing a drink it doesn’t mean you’re
i hate how stigmatized UTIs, yeast infections, and BV are. i’m prone to all of them, and you can also get all of them without having sex. even if you do get an infection after sex, it doesn’t make you dirty. they’re more common than people think.

Dirty or don’t take care of yourself. It’s pretty common too. I bring it up because I unfortunately have hsv-2 and it’s incurable. My ex had it and didn’t know and contracted it to me my first time. I feel scared to date or share it with anyone. Because people think herpes are nasty or you’ll infect them too. Which isn’t the case. So please educate yourselves everyone on all types of infections and diseases and make sure you’re not treating someone differently if they have it. Hiv included.

Oh and make sure to get tested frequently so not only are you protecting yourself but you’re making sure not to accidentally spread something to a partner.

I didn’t say it wasn’t everyone has there choice. I’m saying don’t make someone feel bad because of it especially if it wasn’t their fault. Also you saying “I don’t want herpes” still stigmatizes it. If a person who has either is taking their medicine they won’t spread it. Lastly you probably have herpes hsv-1 that’s the common one people have. Educate yourself.
