Also note I said “SO” advertised. I mean there needs to be limits on the aggressiveness of the advertising. I’m seeing 2-3 weight loss ads per commercial break rn. That is excessive.

Medications shouldn’t be aggressively advertised like that. Medications should be offered in doctor’s offices. If you think this is about health you’re incredibly naive. These medications are being sold as beauty products and shoved down women’s throats with the goal of making money and making women feel like they need to be thin.

Media in general is trying to push skinny onto us lol, I’m not just talking abt advertisements. Let’s look at wicked for example where they thought it would be a good idea to put jewels on the lead’s emaciated body to accentuate her bones. This is not something to praise when young women are seeing these things n think they have to be skinny enough to able to count their ribs
