I know this has been a thing for like 5+ years now but I’m so tired of people using overly clinical language/therapy speak so often and so incorrectly

Like I can’t tell you how many times in the past week I’ve seen someone say “love bombing” when they’re talking about the very normal honeymoon phase of a relationship

It’s literally a normal part of relationship development 💀 “that’s love bombing” do you not ever put your best foot forward when you meet someone new? People learn new buzz words and try to shove them into every situation. Like girl you don’t have ‘trauma’ by a bad experience at a restaurant, you have distrust or negative emotions

Like do they also think it’s love bombing when my partner is in an especially loving mood and gets me treats from the store and pampers me for no particular reason? It’s also such a simple formula to follow with real love bombing. The love bomber does something bad, performs said love bombing, then does the bad thing again. It’s a manipulation tactic to keep victims in situations of abuse not just your partner being loving 😭
