I’m so sorry :( I can’t truly understand what you’re going through, but a word of hope: 18 is young as hell. It’s never too late- some people don’t realize or accept that they’re trans until they get white hair. Depending on where you live, it can be really hard to exist or get the care you need, but there are ways (DIY, modding), and estrogen works wonders fr. I’m so sorry if some people on here are transphobic.

(Also you don’t have to pass to be trans, even if the potential danger and dysphoria of that are their own obstacles. Brain scans don’t lie lol. You could never do a thing and still be valid :3)

Telling family is hard and takes time and a shit ton of courage, and in particularly bad circumstances shouldn’t be done at all (abuse, loss of shelter or needed medical/economical support). As for the second part, I don’t know if it will help but there’s some quote about how “why did god make bees and not honey if he didn’t want his creatures to also partake in creation” (I’m not religious btw, i just like the sentiment) as like a comfort to why some people might not feel they match themselves

If they aren’t against it (and you could always “soft launch” it by bringing up the general topic to gauge their reaction) I would encourage you to mention it- while I don’t think I’m trans, I have my own issues and know that bottling up core feeling is a Bad Idea. Finding a supportive therapist might also help, if that’s something you can access/want :3
