Used to work at a daycare and I had a coworker who wouldn’t let up on the gender stereotyping. Like she called a little boy a “sissy” because he was crying after getting hit in the face with a ball 😭 I’m still shocked a person like that exists, especially in proxy to children

I worked daycare from infant-school age, high school, and now I work parapro in early elm. Boys will be boys is a terrible take on how society read us boys for the grown world. Not to mention that many times men have tried to argue with me how boys tests scores are dropping bc girls receive more attention or boys aren’t taken care of by the schools. An entirely backwards and false assumption of education and society right now. I agree with you queen - the teacher who’s seen it all

Had a brief daycare gig and this was so disheartening, I could literally see the gender roles being instilled in real time. Every girl was well behaved while most boys had behavioral issues, and I could tell they were slowly accepting this as normal. Not much I could do as a twerpy 19 yo with no child education experience but still sad
