how our society has normalized believing that women should be held responsible for how their clothing choices make men feel is genuinely so fucking odd and i can’t believe more people aren’t talking about it. we’re all born nude, grow the fuck up

I hear women say they deal with this with their FAMILY too, which is just so disgusting. my brother sometimes walks topless from the shower to his bedroom, and I do the same. no one bats an eye at either of us since no one sexualizes family members’ bodies 💀

it’s such a blessing to have grown up without my parents/family trying to make me present more “modestly” to avoid the male gaze, since that would’ve made child-me all the more uncomfortably aware of it. I’m able to be comfortable in my body even with a physical disability because I wasn’t taught to be self-conscious that way.

no deadass i constantly wear compression shorts and a sports bra around my house and never once has my family looked at me different especially not my dad (unlike what the incels want us to believe). genuinely why the fuck is it programmed in so many men that women showing skin is a result of fathers not parenting. like god forbid not everybody views women’s bodies with shame and negativity
