2 yrs ago I was SAd in a bar while obviously too drunk to consent. 20+ men stood by and shouted encouragement or called me a wh*re. it feels impossible to talk about and i lost my friends bc of the resulting depression + agoraphobia. idk how to live w it

I’ve literally only met one man who ever stood up and made sure girls who are clearly drugged or too drunk, are okay and safe. One, literally just fucking one which how is that even fucking possible???

there isn’t really one right way to live with it. it’s hard to feel normal again after something so horrific and violating. i’d recommend counseling if it’s accessible, OP, and god i hope you’re safe and able to find some sort of peace.

I think most men deep down are mob mentality cowards who are too scared of losing male social approval to raise an issue even when a woman is obviously being hurt

Fr like my ex was always making sure he went out with me and my friends and checked in to make sure we’re safe. I remember one time I was out on Halloween at a bar with friends and a fucking older married man with apparently a pregnant wife would not leave me and my friends alone who said we weren’t interested. I texted my ex and he woke up to drive over to get the man away cause fucking no one else wanted to help us

Yeah every other guy I dated since never stayed up and waited to make sure we as a group were okay, let alone me. It’s sad how few men will actually care, especially about someone they’re dating
