My roommates set the cooling to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. I think 68 is fair at night atleast. Am I being too unreasonable. Like they were all like we have a space heater if u would like but we’re keeping the temp like this. I pay the same to level there wtf

Idk what to tell them cuz like they be like we’re having our bfs over the temp is gonna drop. The bfs don’t pay tf. Then they sent me a paragraph being like we noticed the temp is high and idk if u are doing that but if u are we have a space heater for u. Like no, i pay the same as u and 65 is too cold

They can get fans if it’s too hot for them 65 is only for houses with shitty insulation in the middle of summer, not bf cuddle time or whatever.

“Fans take less electricity than a space heater would so it would be more cost effective to keep the house at 68 and you two get fans.”

We live on a college campus apartment and don’t pay the electricity

Any plants in the house? Most houseplants are tropical and don’t do well in cold temperatures

Oh I got it “If it’s not getting cool enough in the rooms we should probably put in a maintenance request to check for gaps in the windows that could be taking all the cold air out. It would also explain our spider and ant problem. I would still say that fans would be far more effective at keeping everyone at their desired temperature as a space heater would just make the whole place warmer and negate the ac setting.”

Low key generating heat is more efficient than making a room cold, so it is probs better for you to use the heater and them use AC
