have you ever considered it might be kidney disease? recently i saw a facebook post where this lady was trying to spread awareness, it was very in depth although long story short her cat was drinking much more water than normal, doctors wouldn’t do anything to help, and the cat eventually passed before her other two cats started to follow the same path. Her cats were then put on some sort of supplement/medication and it completely turned things around!

Legally I cannot give medical advice as I am not a vet, but see what kind of senior bloodwork panels your vet offers (there’s a good chance they’ll give you your options even if you don’t specially ask). The clinic I work at has one that checks liver, kidneys, thyroid, and includes urinalysis- if it’s a smaller clinic, they might send it to an external lab, but larger clinics may have the lab equipment to run a panel and full urinalysis like that in-house.

Has your cat been peeing? My male cats pee actually crystallized and it was preventing him from peeing. If we hadn’t rushed him to the vet he wouldn’t have made it. Also is your cat walking funny?

hi! i don’t want to scare you. my cat also kept getting UTIs and diarrhea w bloody stool. please ask the doctor if he is at risk for carcinomatosis (and fiv.) my cat had fiv and it was not disclosed, which caused carcinomatosis cancer to rapidly progress and his organs fused together. he had to be put down after his intestines started fusing shut. i didn’t even know it was a thing and my vet had only seen one other case in her 30 year career. i am so lost without my baby
