This frustrates me so much because in the men I’ve dated I’ve explicitly asked them to be more open with their emotions, and their reply is always no I can’t bc you’ll leave me. Like they have been taught that which is sad, but also it’s frustrating because I’m telling you exactly what I need in a relationship and you’re ignoring it because of some rule around masculinity? I just wish this shit didn’t exist.
