idk how people can genuinely think jane doe is lying. no one knew about this (i was at cornell in 24 and no info about this was known) so it’s not like the argument that she was embarrassed/regrets it holds any weight. and if it WAS consensual, why were

two men expelled? why were they punished at all? obviously SOMETHING must have happened. people are bringing up her statement where she said it was consensual but i can’t even imagine what she was going through after being gangraped for 7 hours. i was assaulted and for YEARS i tried everything to convince myself it was consensual, that it was my fault, that it was anything BUT assault bc i wasn’t ready to deal with what that meant for me. idk. i feel like it just doesn’t make sense that she’d

Yeah nobody knew about her being a whore back then so she told the truth to the cops. Two men were expelled because she told the police ketamine was involved

now i’m thinking about it and literally the ONLY thing that was brought up was chi phi being shut down bc there were rumors someone was raped, but even that was super vague and no names/anything beyond that was known

even if you don’t believe her there’s no need to call her a whore. if you actually wanted to have a discussion it’s very difficult to believe you have anything of use to say when you start off the convo like that. also if that’s true, why wasn’t everyone expelled for it? why wasn’t she? why weren’t the other 5 men involved? why did they just have to write essays? i also don’t know what your point is about no one knowing - the only reason people know NOW is bc she’s suing

so if your argument is that she’s ashamed/wants to hide what she did… how does it make sense to sue when literally no one knew this happened? if she was really just ashamed and nothing happened, she wouldn’t be suing

if that happened to me, I’d be telling myself I consented too 😭 because the alternative is life-changingly awful. she was also interviewed by police who had no business dealing with a rape survivor; those are normally done by trained detectives, so this was such extreme negligence by the campus.

exactly! we also don’t know what happened between her and the police - who FAMOUSLY are sensitive and understanding to rape victims 🙄. we don’t know how long she was there, if she was pressured while giving her statement, if she was shamed… i find it hard to believe she even felt safe enough to say what truly happened

She doesn’t get shamed if she was raped. She got embarrassed cause she did it willingly how do u not see what happened. Saying no one knew is crazy too, since there were at least 60 people that could spread that rumor. She admitted to wanting the initial threesome in the 2024 statement, hence “whore” although that’s subjective ig

i literally go to cornell and no one knew. so again, if you really think she’s lying and she’s embarrassed, why would she bring it up again when everyone didn’t even know about it to begin with? are you gonna call me a liar too? also yeah it definitely is subjective and really does nothing to make me think you want an actual discussion and not just an excuse to call this girl a liar. i’d explain to you just how harmful it is you’re using that language but it’s pretty obvious you know

“Hi officers I’m a whore and I’d like to tell you all about a consensual gangbang I had last night” when you turn your head too fast it rattles doesn’t it

She was under the influence so she could never consent, they hit her, and she said no. That’s rape and you’re dense asf

She got questioned because of the drug involvement dumbass. And ur basically saying every drunk hookup is rape. The laws in New York say you can consent under the influence if you got drunk voluntarily (which she did according to her 2024 statement). Do some research instead of just hoping that the girl got raped for some reason….literally better for everyone if she’s lying

Is someone is drunk as fuck when they first show up and you sleep with them, then yes that’s rape. And as a victim I don’t want her to have been assaulted but I believe her. Go be a POS and a waste of space elsewhere

you do realize the police didn’t reach out to her, right? she went to them. can you keep your own fucked up logic straight or are you too busy fantasizing about your next chance to call her a whore?

sticking your head in the ground and pretending it didn’t happen isnt better, and it’s so strange you’d rather ignore victims 💀
