Yeah but most perpetrators are still men, meaning men rape other men as well. It's not so black and white as "men rape women and women rape men," even accounting for unreported cases men still commit far far far more sexual assault than women do. This by no mean invalidates male survivors

because its a way men chastise victims. they use it as a way to minimize / disregard the ways they perpetrate violence against women. they don’t care about anyone getting raped it’s about deflection. it’s another facet of rape culture. it’s the same intention behind bringing up false reports when women talk about rape. this really shouldn’t require an explanation

Except if you read closely I never fucking said "men don't get gang raped." I said tell me a single time a man was ever gang raped BY WOMEN with DOZENS OF WOMEN CHEERING IT ON. As in men are the main perpetrators of rape culture. If that hurts your feelings then I can't help you.

I don’t think it needs to be phrased differently at all. The point is that one gender is more likely to be a victim of violent sexual assault. It’s not like SA doesn’t happen to men or isnt just as serious but when your only response to “protect women” is “well it happens to men too” I think that misses the entire point

This is part of why it’s not the same thing. Men can face sexual assault sure but it’s not a comparable experience. And if we’re talking about PIV rape either way, it doesn’t have the same visceral pain associated with it

You are missing the point that it is unecessary. If you are under the view that you should believe all victims and support them you should apply that to everyone. You cannot be saying that there has never been a gang rape with other women being involved you can’t prove that you just feel entitled to say things that do nothing to help victims as a whole.
