Not normal, but common with the copper IUD. If it continues, talk to your doctor about switching to a hormonal method or using TXA. What went wrong with hormonal methods before?

i just hated my life and mental health was at an all time low, was also fat af, and did not feel like myself at all. i was on nexplanon

If you’re ever open to trying it again, consider a method with estrogen. It can be night and day compared to a progestin-only method. But in the meantime, definitely talk to your doctor about TXA (tranexamic acid) or other methods of lightening your flow. It works by promoting clotting, which helps minimize the amount of blood vessels actively bleeding at once.
