honestly though the situation is just sad. to read the bible and THAT to be the outcome :/ i grew up christian but didn’t really believe but i was lucky enough to grow up in a church that preached the love of god and jesus and the importance of treating one another with love and respect. it’s very jarring to me to see people read the same book and not be able to distinguish what behavior is loving and what is not.
