if you have a dog I 10/10 recommend cutting up a treat or chicken or cheese into small pieces, distributing it on top of a towel, rolling the towel up, and securing the ends with a scrunchie. I do this every night and my dog LOVES it

If they have training treats they love it would work, it’s like a little enrichment activity<3 they will also spend 10 mins after getting all of it sniffing the towel in search for more. It is very entertaining

Maybe it’s just my dog but chicken isn’t actually that good for them (my dog gets red paws from it)

I don’t have a cat but! I would assume they’d love it to, I think depending on how much they understand the concept of the treats being inside the towel they’ll catch on quick. When I first started doing this with my dog I didn’t secure the ends with a scrunchie but soon enough he knew if he unrolled it one way he’d get all of it, hence the now securement of it

It’s fun bc like once they start learning how to get it undone to get the treats the further you have to secure it, sometimes I’ll just use a rag and put a treat in the middle and knot it, it usually takes him a little longer on that one but it’s very worth it. I love giving my dog enrichment but the actual enrichment toys are just expensive so I try to innovate

:(( I’m sorry to hear that , it could be an allergy, I’ve given it to my dog pretty regularly esp since it’s apart of most treats and haven’t seen any reactions but thank you bc I can look out for that better now, I didn’t realize it could be an allergen or anything
