Seriously report it to the day care, that's not okay and the place could get in legal trouble if any parents find out. Not only do they not know if she's a safe person, but once she shares those photos to others they could be going anywhere and that's not okay for the child's privacy or safety

i worked at a daycare and that’s like never one rule, no taking pics of the kids unless it’s for the classroom art or something.

posting pictures of kids you work with is a huge no. I know you don’t want to get her in trouble but this is massively inappropriate and potentially a safety/privacy concern. I think you should talk to her and if she doesn’t listen go straight to a supervisor.

I don't want to get her in trouble and work but I really don't think she should be taking pics of them and she knows that too. If I was a parent I wouldn't want my kids preschool teacher to be showing pictures of my child to random strangers or posting them on her personal social media

It depends on the daycare at mine, parents actually sign a consent form saying whether or not it’s okay to take images of them and whether or not we can post them to the daycares social media

Also like yes my friend is a good person and just thinks they're cute but 1. You should be focused on the kids not on your phone 24/7 and 2. The parents don't know that she's a safe person and the people she shares the photos with are safe people you never know some people are creeps

Tbh I'm not comfortable talking to her about it because I think she'll be like well I'm not doing anything weird with them I just think it's cute and then if I report it after she'll know it's me. I just don't see her accepting that feedback well at all

See I agree I'm just worried that's taking it too far and meddling with her work life when I know she doesn't mean it maliciously but I also think it's really wrong I'm so conflicted

it's not meddling in her work life when it's a legal violation, if they fire her or reprimand her over it then there's a reason for it due to her actions not because you reported it
