modern christmas movies lack depth and substance. it’s a wonderful life is so good bc it takes on a really relatable issue of wondering how much you’re actually worth and feelings of isolation and depression and frustration with your life. it’s an ACTUAL movie with a plot instead of just a movie where the plot is that it’s christmas
