 i bought my my nephew a squishmallow axolotl like 2 years ago and it is his most CHERISHED stuffed animal. he brings it to all his overnight camps, when he goes on vacation, and my sister said he sleeps with it every night 😭

and he brought it to school one time for pajama day and during drop off he just kept saying “my favorite aunt got this for me” mind you i’m his only aunt

my nephew is 10 now and so he’s starting to get more “conscious” in simple terms, like he actually wants to hang out with me and do things with just me😭

yesss i love that!! i just got home from taking my 15yo niece out to one of our local christmas events and at dinner after she was like “i’m so glad i got to hang out with you” 🥹😭😩 this girl honestly made me feel so maternal the minute she was born and i do want to have kids but fr she will always be my first baby
