honestly emily has her issues but at least they make sense lorelai just pisses me off like ohhhh wahhh my mommy and daddy have money and spent it on me as a child and expected me to participate in society WAHHHH i don’t want my daughter to like her grandparents and i’d rather live in a shed than be TRAPPED in a nice home with all my needs met WAHHHH like girl what?? as someone who grew up neglected i just can’t 🫩

Right?!? I started rewatching the show and it’s been awhile and I was like these are some serious first world problems. And literally Emily only wanted dinner one night a week, it’s literally good free food, she’s not even asking for money back she just wants be a part of their lives.

lorelai is seriously just a spoiled brat and i can’t stand her! as the show goes on i start to hate rory too. it gets to the point around season 5 i think where i just don’t wanna watch it anymore 😭 i just go back to the beginning lol

She’s very much spoiled and believes everything should go her way, and she’ll look down on all the rich kids as if her grandparents aren’t paying for everything. And yea it sucks to be told you’re not as good as you thought you were, in the field you want to go into, but like in anything there is room for improvement and I do think she deserved a harsher punishment for stealing a yacht. That’s when I really started hating her

i think i relate to lorelai in the sense that my mother is kinda similar to emily with the way she sometimes manipulates things but like my mother i still love her despite it
