one of the best things about moving out has been that i can take painkillers during my period without a grating voice in my ear saying im weak and that women have gone without pain meds for ages. my mom used to “hide” painkillers so you’d have to ask

and she’d like determine if it was actually worth a painkiller. my brothers always got painkillers though!!! my sister and i wouldn’t most of the time, if she caught us sneaking painkillers or something (she counted, she was crazy) she’d tease us for ages

Wait stuff like this pisses me off. God gave us Advil so I can eat it when my uterus hurts! Don’t judge me for not wanting to suffer needlessly 😭

this is quite literally the tip of the iceberg. the kitchen was closed by 8 and we weren’t allowed snacks or anything in our rooms anyways. so if you were hungry, sucks to suck. sometimes my brothers got to skip this rule

The “weird” part was that my mom wasn’t like super religious? so it wasn’t like a religious thing or idk. i guess almond? but it wasn’t like she relied on other forms of medicine either 💀💀💀

Oh yeah lol the God thing was a joke but I get it. My friend never takes Advil cause it’s unnatural? or something. You do you I guess but don’t shame others for taking painkillers. It’s not a sign of weakness at all
