maybe I’m spoiled by stupid American grade inflation but having to go above and beyond to get full points for something is so stupid. If you have a rubric and I follow it I should get all the credit. I am annoyed today

I freaking hate this! If i’m doing everything right and have all A’s give me an A!!! Had a teacher literally give me a B because I didn’t do extra credit and meet with him because he was constantly out of class… 😐

yes. bare minimum would be doing enough assignments to stay afloat. if i’m doing everything and doing it right give me the grade. they’re not my only class and students who decide to go above and beyond can earn extra credit but again that is their decision.

extra credit is meant to be EXTRA that’s so stupid. I always do it if it’s not too much work but thats to make up for missing points elsewhere

Exactly. We've become so lazy we need to step it up and have real consequences if we don't pass. Isn't UF supposed to be a school of academic excellence?
