When people use "social justice warriors" as an insult they mean people like this who vitriolically demonize everyone for no reason for not telekinetically knowing every human rights violation that has ever happened in global human history

i left a comment like this on the original post but how are we supposed to know what is happening if we aren’t educated? the op could’ve taken a much better approach and been like “hey here’s what’s going on in this country rn” instead of being mad at us for not knowing what’s happening because nobody i know has posted anything about kurdistan

because i’m frustrated that kurds are experiencing statelessness and ethnic cleansing (and actively being massacred) as well and people are willing to educate themselves on one issue but not another?

That is why I am frustrated! No one knows or talks about Kurdistan. No one takes the time. It is a largely societal issue as well but also if people take so much time to learn about other world issues I would hope they do the same for Kurdistan. my post is pointed at those unwilling, not those who haven’t heard

if you’re post had being more formal with intentions on educating instead of coming at us harshly for not being up to date on every issue in society, people would be more receptive. right now people are upset with your tone. there’s better ways to approach the situation. that’s all i’m saying.

Girl you keep saying "no one takes the time" but respectfully we have SO much shit happening in the US right now im worried about my direct neighbors being shot. why would I get in bed and think to google "Kurdistan News"??? We don't know because we're trying to survive, HERE. We're at our wits end here already and then being bombarded with this kind of mentality is just even more exhausting

Like if I went into a Kurdish space and posted "if you're not protesting for Renee good rn I don't like you" I would be TORN APART and rightfully so??
