It sounds like you’re framing that as a bad thing or are reading too much into it. Someone could just rlly be confident in themselves or like that specific photo of them? Also I can see it being a good identifier if the phone’s ever lost. Personally I’d never have my lock screen as that cause I don’t like looking at myself and find it uncanny, but that’s a personal issue that says more about me than anyone else

i have a pic of me and my cat so if my phone gets lost, someone knows who to return it to

I used to have my own pic on mine until someone told me this lol I’ve never thought of it being seen that way before and I don’t think of myself like that but now I just do group pics or something else
