i understand you a lot of things sound better in theory like capitalism where supposedly everyone gets what they work for (obviously not what happens) like the US has so many immigrants because they’re escaping these other governments as much as our government is fucked up its sooo much better than the latter

Why would they speak out against a worker’s movement and government? Were they landlords or capital owners losing out on hoarding their profits?

You can’t possibly be this dense. They were farmers like my grandpa and like their great grandpa. The land we got was passed down for centuries. They herded sheep and had cows, a full farm. All their work and food was taken away and become state property. Everything was gone. And they were shot for speaking out. Ffs my dad knows people who got sent to jail cause they named their sons Elvis. Gtfo American cunt

AHHH so your family did have privatized land that they profited from, you can’t make shit up. Holy shit. I’m glad the government seized it to share with the ppl instead of to be hoarded by one family!

idk people romanticizing other governments and countries because they’ve never lived under it or had family affected by it

Oh yeah, Idk why people do that. My parents have both lived under the communism Albanian regime and it was brutal from what they describe. I think people just want change and are grasping for any kind of change, not realizing what that change would really look like and feel like.

I cant speak on what’s happening in Venezuela, I do wish for the best for them of course. Taking my parents’ stories, my heritage and having been born and raised in America into consideration as I say this, I really do love this country, what it’s done for my father especially and my family overall. However I think there’s so much change that needs to be done and that’s where part of my love for this country is. I have issues with it but I still love it. I’m a proud Albanian-American

Girl I get what you’re saying but you’re going a little hard on someone who just stated they left bc their family was being MURDERED! You can teach ab communism without being ignorant and rude
