do yall recommend peacemaker? i’m looking for a new comedy to watch and it looks like it’s funny with an actual storyline. I’ve watched some of the boys but that show got kind of weirdly uncomfortable for me.

peacemaker seems like more of the aspects i like about the boys (comedy, unpredictability, real storyline) with less using serious topics trying to be passed off as comedy??

I enjoyed it, it gives Peacemaker a ton of depth and character development that he lacked in Suicide Squad! It does get surprisingly emotional at times, but doesn’t try to make a joke out of it. The soundtrack is pretty good too! It helps if you’ve seen the Suicide Squad (2021) movie, as there are callbacks to it, but the show usually gives enough context/flashbacks to understand what happened

Some of the characters do have some heavy childhood trauma, so you may want to check out trigger warnings if that might bother you (or you can dm me and I’ll try to give you spoiler-free warnings)
