applies for some fathers bringing their child in for doctor appointments too 🫩 “what’s your child’s name and date of birth?” they can at least tell me the name but the date of birth usually takes an embarrassingly long time

this is so weird to me bc i know every birthday in my family. i know my dog’s bio birthday and the day we got him (family birthday). i still know all of my friend’s birthdays that i haven’t talked to since i was 14. how are men so clueless???

also i know it’s not all men, i didn’t mean it like that. my dad is my favorite example of the exception. he’s known all of our birthdays like the back of his hand since the day we were born, and can tell me every birthday of every family member/pet that he knew after age 7. he knows his grandparents birthdays even though they died when he was young. all i know is his dad = jan 5th (or close), his mom = may or smth, my mom’s mom = summer i think, my mom’s dad = not a damn clue.
