I’ve had my cat since he was a baby and I just found out I’m allergic to him and literally just now have these reactions & I’m def not getting rid of him so I’ll be taking antihistamines forever 😩

they make food and sprays and stuff that u can give them to put out less allergens. also get an air purifier

Yeah there is an egg powder you can buy to put on their food, apparently if you raise chickens around cats they produce an antigen to the fel D 1 (the protein causing allergies) in their eggs and when the eggs are fed back to cats it will counteract that protein. It does take about 12 weeks to see effects and they will need the supplement indefinitely to keep it working. It’s relatively new science but pretty cool

My only other suggestion is occasional shots in the ass, this works for my bf on top of cleaning multiple times a week, dusting regularly, etc. We just got our 3rd cat lol
