Just have a conversation with him- be direct, I’d like it if we went 50/50 on the food and split gas depending on the situation. Otherwise it’ll just become a bigger issue over time

an hour is not long enough of a drive to be offering to pay all the time. talk about doing more of an even split on paying for stuff if it's bringing up resentment

He says he will go 50/50 but doesn’t and I literally offer to pay for his gas. Also mind u I don’t have a car 😭😭so I take the metro to go see him sometimes and he doesn’t offer to take me home when he can !! We talked about this before and then today he was like I don’t like paying for things- partially as a joke so I responded oh i know and then he got all shy and was like okayyy let’s go 50/50 BUT HES NOT GONNA STICK W ITTTT
